Disciplinary Actions/Grievances
Purpose:
The BCCSL Board of Arbitrators primary function in resolving conflict is to apply the BCCSL rules and penalties. PERSONAL CONFLICT: The Berks County Church Softball League expects appropriate conduct from all members. As believers, it is each member’s obligation to deal with problems encountered with another member in accordance with the principles of Matthew 18:15-17. VS 15 "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. VS 16 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. VS 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church, and if he refuses to listen to even the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector." The BCCSL Board does not have the authority of "the church" in resolving conflicts between individuals. The Board will encourage members to resolve personnel problems using the principle outlined above. If the problem cannot be resolved between the parties involved, the BCCSL Board will refer the matter to the Pastor of the involved individuals.
